Hornwort, also known by its scientific name Ceratophyllum demersum, is a floating stem plant with no roots. It is a great beginner plant if you have low light in your tank. Hornwort has nice pine needle leaves and is easy to grow, either planted or floating. It is great at absorbing excess waste and reducing nitrates.
