Bristlenose Pleco (Longfin Calico)

Bristlenose plecos are peaceful, hardy catfish that make an excellent addition to most community aquariums. Renowned as one of the best algae-eating fish, they help keep aquarium glass and decor clean while also scavenging uneaten fish food.

Males develop distinctive facial bristles as they mature and can become territorial towards other males. Providing plenty of hiding places, such as driftwood, caves, or rock structures, will help minimise aggression.
