Bristlenose plecos are peaceful and hardy and are excellent additions to a community aquarium.

One of the best algae eaters, they will keep your aquarium glass clean while also scavenging uneaten fish food. The adults grow to a size of 10 – 13cm.

Males can get territorial with other males and should be provided adequate hiding places such as driftwood or caves.
